New Petcock
23 Jul 2009 17:23
I'm putting new petcocks in my bikes and need to drill about an 11/16in hole for the new parts. The tanks are in good shape put not Kreemed so I don't want to flush them with water to get rid of the fumes. Do you think flushing them with compressed air will do the trick? I'd like to still be in one piece when I'm done.

Why do you need to drill new holes? Ed

I was thinking about drilling a large enough hole in the middle of the stock slot for the new petcock(it's round) to slide in, but after putting the adapter plate on and checking clearence it looks like a file will do the trick.

I blew some fresh air into the tank and broke out the Dremmel too. Sparks started flying but nothing happened. Much easier then a file would have been.
