Need Carb Help with KZ750G

Been sorting through this bike in the last several days and when I took the carb apart to try to clean them better I realize that there was this odd piece of metal that was not connected. I checked the parts diagram and it is called the Joint. It is attached at one end and it looks like the other end should be attached to the throttle pully but when I attach it the throttle cannot move. Wondering if I should still leave it attached.
Also does anybody know if the float bowls are removed by just pulling out the pin that keeps it in place? For the life of me I can't seem to remove this pin, wondering if I am missing something.
As for the jets themselves, are they removable just by turning them? Will they have to be adjusted once put back in place? Thanks for all your help, all this stuff is new to me and I'm trying really hard to come to a level of understanding where I can ask questions without sounding like an idiot.

The float bowls on the Mikunis for my 750 twin have four screws each holding them to the carb body.

The main and pilot jets are in the bowl and unscrew. No adjustment, just screw them in.

Nope, those pins can sometimes be frozen in place and need some gentle persuasion in the form of a thin punch. Be careful as you can also break the body of the carb by punching incorrectly (tap only on the pin itself, not the surrounding carb architecture). If you break the carb body, you might be SOL.

A little PB Blaster can help too, great stuff!

thanks will have to pick some up. I'm also trying to find a carb rebuild kit for a 750G and it doesn't seem like there is any available on ebay. Anybody know where I can find some?

Thanks I will join the forum right now and see if they can help out. But here are some pictures of what Im trying to explain.
The attached picture shows this strange bolt that seems to attach to the throttle pulley, but I do not know where else it attaches to. If you look directly above the joint you can see where it should attach, but once attached it prevents the throttle pulley from being moved...so I haven't connected it, anybody know what's going on with this?
Also directly left of the carb is the fuel inlet pipe. There is also an outlet pipe at the bottom of the carb and one more near the top. The one on the bottom is the overflow pipe correct? than what is the top pipe for?

Where is Sandy?? Isn't he our local 750 twin go to guy?
