Simple solution?

So I just went to the trouble of stuffing my carbs back into my bike and fighting with the airbox.

I fired it up and it seems to be running strong on 3 cylinders but my outboard carb on the left is pissing gas like it's allergic to the stuff. It's all coming out of the hose on the bottom of the float bowl... I'm wondering if this would be why the thing won't run on that cylinder.

Any quick remedies? I'm assuming I need to pull my carbs out again

sounds to me like you have abad needle and seat assembly or as the manufactors call them float vavles.

While engine's idling and carb leaking, try rapping smartly against the carb float bowl with a plastic mallet or screwdriver handle. Often frees things up after carb reassembly to allow proper seal at float needle/seat interface.

Good Luck! :)

You may not need to pull carbs. Drain the bad one and remove the bowl. You then can deal with the float valve to see if it's sticking and clean if needed. The little stubby needle should move very freely up and down in the orifice. It will drop out when you remove the float giving you access to the orifice. Ed

ya, i figured it was the float and needle valve. Do you think that would cause the cylinder to run like crap? the carb looked good when I pulled it apart. No rips in the diaphragm, clean bowl and the jets looked fine.

yes that would make it run badly pull out the float valve needle and look for wear marks or grooving towards the end of if you have any that will be the problem.

Awesome! Apparently things sorted them selves out. Must have just been a sticky float bowl. Took it for a ride today, lots of power, runs smooth :D
