Actually may have already answered my own question. These are 28mm "pumper" carbs?

Exactly right Doug.I was doing a national KZ1000 search on craigslist and these came up. Thought I might be stumbling on to a screaming 29mm smoothbore deal (I think the guy had them listed for $125)but alas, no luck
