cleaning idle circuits on the 29 smbores

So in a hour or so i'm gonna clean my carbs again(hopefully right this time)"and put a petcock diaphram in."
the whole reason i cleaned em last week (petcock issue)
I have never had problem before doing the basic cleaning in the float bowls untill this last time, and am wondering how to locate my clogged idle circuits "specifically'.
i checked for old threads on this subject before asking you folks ,,,i just want to go forward on the carb thing and get a ride in this weekend and it only runs on choke, wiredgeorge said, and i agree, that my idle circuits are clogged
so today i am retrace and gonna repeat the process.
Remove carbs
remove bowls on a clean bench in order
remove pins from the floats.in order
remove seat needles,in order
clean and spray with carb cleaner all fuel inlet ,vent ,and brass holes.
spray clean carbs out with my compressor
*****Do i need to remove the flat head brass jetts????**** or just blast with cleaner????????????????????????????
then reassemble them....
hope any one can see if i'm missing somthing ...peace craig

This link points to an earlier thread containing some useful tips about cleaning pilot circuits.

Tips

Haven't yet experimented with boiling carbs in vinegar or lemon juice, but other members report success when doing so.

When cleaning 29's, would suggest NOT removing the jet block.

Good Luck! :)

Am trusting there's a good exploded view diagram of the 29's on hand for reference. B)

And thinking the 29's have a small removeable air jet where freshly filtered air for the pilot circuit goes into the small entrance hole on the airbox side of the carb. :)

This link has a good clear exploded view.
Just go to the site and scroll down.
It also includes a parts lists and parts numbers.

spray carb cleaner in the passages and then blow them out with a rubber tipped air gun until they come free.
