hi all am looking for a good set of bs38 ,s for my kz 750 twin
at my wits end with mine they were ok when the bike was first wheeled out of the shed now its up to its old tricks
i am ready to take them off and use for a boat anchor lol
i see mccollins one of our members had twin carbs of a 83 for sale would they work on an earlier twin or were they too different we didnt get that model down here they faded out in 80 i think

82 and 83 (and 84 in Canada) 750 twins used BS34 carbs, not BS38 like the earlier models.
Take them off the bike, disassemble them, soak them in carb cleaner till clean, then reassemble (with new carb kits if possible).
Put the carbs back on the bike, adjust then sync them, that ought to fix your carb problems

i have done all the soaking new kits etc ,it did help for a while ,but its all up the creek without a paddle again mate ,
i have a mate with a real crappy looking set of carbs ,put them on and it ran like it did 15 yrs ago before the dickhead mechanic touched them ,its never been the same since ,a real strange one
i think it is wiredgeorge does he do rebuilds changeover carbs someone may correct me ,i,d be happy to do that

I believe WiredGeorge will rebuild your (or any) carbs, can't remember the name of his website but it's linked in his sig.
There is another member (Smithgpz) that bought new aftermarket Mikunis for his 750 twin, don't know what model carbs though. I think they were about $400 for the pair, but I'm not sure.
