aftermarket fuel injection for kz1000

anyone know or hear of anyone that has replaced their carbs for fuel injection. in theory it seems easy. just a little machine work on the heads..

That fed up with your carbs?
Try a search, there are a couple guys doing it if I recall. A handful have retrofitted FI systems from newer bikes. One or two were trying some "megasquirt" thing that was supposed to be a DIY kit for FI. Have not heard from or of them recently though.

Megasquirt is a GREAT system! It is highly adaptable to many different setups, but takes some doing to install. It is not a piggyback system, but is a standalone fuel management system.
Some of the newer versions of the Megasquirt software even include provisions for traction control, but I'm not sure of how that would work or even if it would on a bike.
On a BMW forum I'm on, it is very common for people to swap out their stock ECU for MS. Its much better than the archaic Motronic 1.0 or 1.1 our old bimmers have.

it seems that a injection would solve the pod problem
