Hey all this will be my first post! I recently purchased a new to me 1982 KZ440 LTD A-3. The bike had sat for about 2 years before I picked her up and while in almost mint condition the bike has just a few small problems. Mainly the idle. When I start the bike while cold or warm the idle will jump to about 4500rpm's and If I mess with the choke it will calm down but I do need to leave the choke fully on for the bike to run. Even if I get the bike to idle at 1200 for a moment as soon as I pull the throttle she will race again. Just a note when I spray carb cleaner in the carbs the engine will rev up then go back down. My question is..should I take the carbs off being a noob and soak them or could the problem be something else?
