Hello all, got a question about the carb boots. Upon removal of said boots, noticed there was permatex, or sealant used to mate them against the block. Supposed to be? Also, it would be best to use different bolts then the philips head screws kawa used, correct? Picked up a couple allen heads the same size, id rather use them, the old philips were bitches to get out.

Some members here use some kind of sealer. If installing new carb holders no sealant needed. I also used polished allen bolts.
