petcock question

well i took apart the the petcock ready to put a kit into it and i didnt pay attention to the groove in the plastic plate should the groove sit upwards or down looked at the manuals but the sentence cuts off right at the good point lol

It shouldn't matter. The groove is just a breather to allow a little air for the diaphram to move.

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.
