Can anyone help me with my fuel line configuration on my 1979 KZ650? I picked up the bike and it had no fuel lines so I picked up some on ebay, but now I don't know which goes where. I know where the prime is but the other three got me stumped.

If anyone has a picture of theirs that would be extremely helpful.

Thanks
Rick

my 80 has only a feed and a vacuum fitting.

i'm a little confused on your question
someday i will be able to afford my kz habit.

I'm Not sure. There are 4 inlets on the carb and only two outputs on the petcock and I have no clue how to connect the carbs to the tank properly.

Which carbs do you have, since 79 carbs are diffrent from 1980 carbs so do you have carbs like this? I think Mikuni is what I have. I don't think you have CV's as yet, not in that year

there should only be one fuel feed line.
i think you are looking at the vents for the floats.
go to www,wgcarbs.com and look at his pictures.
he is the man.
might be a good idea to also send him your carbs for a once-over

If there should only be one feed than why is there two ports on the petcock? and which port on the carb is the feed?

one is the fuel feed, the other four are bowl vents.
pictures of your carbs would be real helpful
i am assuming you have 24's on a 650 but i could be wrong.
the one between two and three should be the feed line.
the one on the bodies should be the the vents
one vent on the petcock is to supply fuel, the other is for vacuum.
the vacuum side is the smaller one.
it shuts off fuel when the bike is not running so if there is a problum, you don't empty your tank because of a stuck float.
someday i will be able to afford my kz habit.

atmosphere line on left is if you have 2 ports there, either that or they might be vacuum ports. Fuel t in the center for fuel line

That really helps. Thanks. I will put a pic of my carbs up so that I can make sure that every thing is the same.

Thanks
