Tim, look up. Way up. Go to the KZ information tab, choose file base, and browse. That's a good starting point, and if you want to get specific, use the search forum box, and manipulate your keywords to find what you are looking for. Don't forget the archives, another wealth of info. If it has been done to a KZ, it is here. Just have to go hunting. Good luck! B)

Not everything is mentioned here... the stuff that is too embarrassing, I keep to myself! Bwhahahaha

Calibrate carbs? Hmmmm Get that Haynes manual out and perform the tune up steps... The carbs will be at the end and will consist of adjusting your throttle cable play and sync and idle speed adjustment. To adjust throttle cables, just make sure they have a bit of visible slack. You do this by turning the adjusters up at the switchtgear. Without slack, the throttle will hang open a tad. To sync, you warm bike up and at idle... put mercury gauges on sync ports and use the sync adjuster located between the two carbs to make the mercury levels the same... and idle speed? The tach is probably inaccurate so set it by ear. Should be below 1500 rpm depending on how inaccurate the tach is... spec is likely more like 1100 rpm but you would need an accurate external tach to set it exactly so just do it by ear.
