I may be missing it, since I can't see what brass thing you're refering to.
But that hose with the screw in it is a vent, and should not be capped off like that.

Geesh... tap the #1 pump nozzle out with the bowl off. Put a flat screwdriver on top of it and knock it down. It is just press fit in the carb body. Once out, set it on something flat and use a small hammer to straighten it. The VM24 uses two diaphragms... it is a two stage system. And last, the little brass holder on the end of the pump can come off with no damage to anything. You have to use pliers to turn it or small vise grips since it is round and you can't get a wrench on it.

Hey thanks again for the info. Seems like you guys know everything about the KZ bikes. I just put in a large order from Z1enterprises.com.
KL18-2903
Accelerator Pump Rebuild Kit
KL18-2429 (X4)
Carburetor Rebuild Kit KZ650 1977-78
EM10-37500
Oil Filter - Emgo 10-37500 Honda Kawasaki
KL11-5444
Carb Holders (4) Kawasaki KZ650 24mm rubber
MC864-1321
Air Filter Kawasaki KZ650 KZ750 12-92700
KL18-2698
Petcock Repair Kit (vacuum) Kawasaki Yamaha
Is there anything else you guys recommend I get? The bike is really beat up.
Also what are the hose on the Carb holders for? I guessing for tuning.
Also I was checking the OEM manual and there is a picture of a fuel level sensor. Does the KZ650 H1 have a fuel level sensor?

Also, I loved the flow chart. I think I'm going to print it out and bring it to work.
