The title states what carbs I have on my bike. What I'm wondering is this, the "38" part of that name, does that mean the intake opening on the carb is 38mm in diameter? The reason I'm asking is because I'm REALLY liking the velocity stack look on some of these old bikes and I kinda need to know what size I need to start looking around for.

Also, anyone have any good advice for doing this?

Any for NOT doing this?

Thanks in advance,
Beardking

38 mm venturi I believe, but the intake side where the velocity stacks/air cleaner mounts is 52 mm.

54MM, I'm pretty sure, Steele.

Ummmm, they do look cool.

And if you don't mind rebuilding motors, then you are good to go.

I hear that basically open intakes will wear hard on a motor, 'cause of no filtration.

I'm not a motor builder (yet) so this is what I hear.
