Ive got an 83 KZ550 LTD, and was browsing around, trying to find available parts, mods, accessories, etc. I came across the stage 1 jet kit from dynojet.

My question is, if i run some sort of exhaust, and pod filters, will the Stage 1 kit be enough? Also, the jet kit is for an 83-84 KZ550 GPz, since im new to these bikes, im not sure of the difference that would make. Would they work in a LTD if designed for the GPz?

personally, i dislike the "kit" idea. what u gotta do is take out the jets you have and find out what size they are. if the bike runs well now you will need to go richer with filters and a pipe. I'd guess about 5 sizes up on the mains, and maybe a couple grooves richer on the needles. It's impossible to be sure how much without riding the bike.

you can order any jets you want from a shop and save bucks over a kit.

I'd recommend looking up some info on basic principles of jetting before you dive in.
