I have a 77 KZ1000LTD w/ the carbs off it right now. It is in question whether or not the carbs are the stock ones. They do measure 26mm though. The Clymer manual i have right now says that stock jetting is 105 Main and 15 pilot. Upon inspecting mine, I found 90 mains and 17.5 pilots. That bike runs awesome with this setup, but the dyno shows that it does start losing power around 7800 rpm. My question is a) Where is the best place to get a carb rebuild kit, and are most mid 70's KZ 26mm carbs using the same gaskets and such? b)Where is the best place to get new jets for these carbs. I am also looking for the rubber manifold boots c)Is there any sure fire way to positively ID these carbs? Thanks for you help in advance, and help is greatly appreciated!
