If it's a 4 cylinder it's likely 1-2-4-3.
I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

Also, the #1 & #4 spark plug wires should be connected to one ignition coil (probably the RH), and #2 & #3 to the other coil.
And the black igniter wire goes to the 1/4 coil, while green goes to the 2/3 coil. Each coil has a red wire.

ps: the good manual may be linked here on KZR in the Filebase.

Wiring diagrams. mbsween. bike-night. KZ750L3. Scroll down & click "The Bible" link.
note: some of the wiring diagrams are mislabeled in the links: the 1981 Ltd is an H2, the 82 is an H3, & the 83 is an H4.
The site has a poorly copied black-&-white 750-4 pdf manual, so be sure to get the good version from the 750Turbo site linked above.

If you have a 750 twin, the firing order is 1-2, and it does not matter which plug wire goes where.
It is helpful to put your bike info in the signature line so that readers will know exactly which model you are asking about and you will not have to put the info in every post manually.

On 4 cylinder Kawasakis the left coil (from seated position) feeds 1 & 4. The right feeds 2 & 3.

I think the 1000s are opposite from the 650/750 models. :)

ps: if it's a Twin, then never mind both of my replies.
