Timing?

I have a 1984 ZN700 Shaft. How do you adjust the timing on this bike. The Kawasaki manual tells me what and where it should be but not how to adjust it if its off. I currently have the cams out of the engine making a shim adjustment so I do not want to move or remove the pickup coils until I get it back together and running again. One thing at a time!

It probably isn't adjustable.
The ZX550 has a pulsing coil rotor similar to the ZN700.
In the ZX550 manual, if the timing is off, it says to replace the igniter.
