KZ550 parts help

Good morning KZR forum;

I recently purchased a 1984 KZ550LTD with 8000 hard used miles on the bike. I am setting the bike up for my daughter and son in law.. The PO has bashed both front and rear air boxes. I also have 1 diaphragm slide which is hanging up from being too stiff.

Is there a reasonable place to purchase new/repaired slides?

Would anyone know where I could find a compatible airbox set? Or should I go with pods?

Partzilla has diagrams with a cross-reference.

There's a ZX550 airbox listed on EB that looks to be in decent to good condition. at reasonable cost if not cheap. $35T is cheap IMHO.

As noted in the reply, search for ZX550 airbox. There are actually 2 listed. I only saw one the other day.

That's an earlier 550 airbox. From the diagrams at Partzilla the 84 550 Ltd Shaft airbox is different and has separate Front & Rear sections. I have no idea if the earlier airbox will fit.
