Is it high risk to have to much torque on the nuts for the exhaust nuts?

How much torque shall it be?

I just torqued then by hand....
1981 KZ650-D4, with 1981 z750L engine (Wiensco 810 big bore).

Do it by hand, last thing you want to do is strip an exhaust stud thread or worst still snap one.

How many nm are we talking about?

You need them tighter than hand tight, but too tight will break the clamp. I think those are M6, and should probably be around 75 inch lbs. Note that I said inch lbs.
I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

By hand tight I meant spanner tight using your judgement. It didnt mean hand tight finger tight.

Yes, that sounds correct. The important part is making sure the bushings are installed correctly and the pipe is in the correct position. The clamp should almost touch the head when tightened up, but it should not be forced. Play with the pipe alignment if the nuts require excessive torque.

I have had some rides after I installed the new exhaust system and hand tighten the nuts.

Today have I torqued the nuts to 8,5nm today, nuts was looser then 8,5nm so I have not used to much force when I installed the exhaust system by hand...
Maybe the heat and cool cycles also have loosen up the torque?

Bet they did seat in a little and loosened up slightly...... when I did my cam caps by hand I was closer to 55 (EDIT need to re read sometimes before hitting submit) ....inch lbs when I stopped.... I then went a little more with the inch lb wrench and stopped at 70 if I remember right. I did my header nuts by hand and am betting I also stopped closer to 55 than 75. Didn't even want to mess with a stripped stud.......Be careful using a ft lb wrench at small settings like that have read they are not real accurate at the low settings but sounds like you did good regardless.

gordone i use stainless steel self lock nuts on my on my exhaust. no nut never ever come loose or need to be re-tighten.
If you want i could send you a set of 20 nuts for the shipping price of 5 Euro. Do you need M6 or M8?

70 foot pounds for the cam caps, Wow! Suprised you didn't strip them all, they're only 6mm bolts.

Something is wrong. The cam cap torque spec is 95-113 INCH pounds. That equals 7.9 - 9.4 FOOT pounds. I'm no mechanical genius, but I am positive that if one tightened the caps to 70 FOOT pounds rather than the 9.4 FOOT pounds as specified the threads would certainly strip. Ed
