Just started riding a new to me KZ440B ... having trouble being comfortable with the gearshift pedal and was wondering if anyone has put on a easier to use one from a different model kz. ... also are these pretty much interchangeable or not?
I would compare it to eebbaayy pics of a good or nos gear change pedal to make sure yours isn't bent. Then compare it to shifters from other models, such as the KZ650/750 or KZ1000 to see if any of those are longer or otherwise more suitable. I'm assuming the splined ends would be the same. The gear change pedal on my 81 650-CSR is about 8-1/8" long. hooking a measuring tape onto the most rearward end & measuring to the outer tip away from the arm (kind of diagonally).

Your right , At first i thought it was bent at the end where you get it with your toes but it ended up being bent down close to where it mounts up... ended up putting it in a vise and tapping with hammer to bend it back out..
