Kerker Baffle

Hello KZ'rs,
I went for a short 100 mi ride today on a winding road to New Hope PA. It was a nice ride with perfect weather. It is a pretty popular stop for motorcyles around Phila. As a side note,...Is it mandatory for all Harley riders to wear black t shirts? Just wondering.

Anyway,...on the way back my baffle broke on my Kerker. I have the older Kerker with the emblem on it. I was looking at the MAC replacements and was wondering if anyone has tried these? What options do I have for baffles for the Kerker pipes.

Any input would be appreciated. The bike is a 1978 KZ1000 with a 4 into 1 pipe.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationI'm also looking for a "dbae" baffle for a Kerker. Keep an eye on Ebay for good deals. I recently just missed buying a very good back end for low money. NOS baffles are going for around $100.

I replaced my Kerker baffle with a MAC replacement. Fit fine and has been working well for the last four years. It was about half the price of a Kerker baffle.

@ Nessism, thanks for the link.

Do you know what the major difference is in the ID size wrt performance and jetting for the Kerker replacement baffles in your link? I have a daily rider so I am thinking the 1.5" would be good for my bike.

Any experience with the MAC replacement baffles,....they are cheaper.

All,
I just wanted to follow up on this. I bought the MAC replacement and it is a very tight fit but it does fit the Kerker pipe.

I have a comp K for mine, that is a race baffle? Not heard it running yet. Is this loud - or crazy loud?

Wire wool packing around the baffle usually helps reduce the noise.
