We'll be in the swap meet, about halfway along row "F" where it intersects with the only paved road that runs east/west through the swap area. It's behind Z1 Enterprises old spot for those who are familiar.

Hope we see some of y'all there!

Can you guarantee it won't rain? What are the dates this year?

Anyone going to Mid-Ohio?

Sure, lots of people. It's a pretty big event. :-D

I'll be in the VJMC booth in the swap meet area Friday and Saturday from 12 to 2. I believe we're in row Q.

Also, don't tell anyone here but I'm bringing a Yamaha to the booth.

I don't know about rain, but as long as there is no horrendous thunderstorm with high winds (like last year) I'll be happy.

The dates are 6-8 July (Friday-Sunday).

Ahhh... was thinking about going this year but not enough lead time. Would take me a couple days riding to get up there so I guess I will have to plan better next year. Right now it is kind of hard riding in Texas in triple digit temps so not sure I could even make it in two days...

Hey slmjim & Z1BEBE - it was great to meet you guys! B)

For the rest of y'all: it was pretty funny. On Friday I was camped out in the VJMC area, and someone was asking around for 'Nerdy'. That someone turned out to be Z1BEBE - slmjim stopped by a bit later. Nice people, both of 'em.

Was good meetin' ya' Nerdy. Nice to be able to associate a face with a screen name.

Me n Z1BEBE were talking about it on the drive there, running different scenarios back & forth on how to approach the query;
"Which one of y'all's Nerdy?" ... Nah...,
"Who here's Nerdy?" ...Nah...
"Any of y'all Nerdy?" ...Nah...
"Hi. I'm Z1BEBE. You Nerdy?" ...Nah...

Anyway, we all met at the aZylum that is Mid-Ohio.

We've been going for 12 or 13 yrs. now. This was by far the largest crowd we've ever seen! Except for a brief shower Thursday afternoon and some cool, cloudy weather Friday morning, the weather was spectacularly perfect; cool & breezy, cloudless skies. Best in recent memory. We scored a few good deals on parts & stuff.
Saw an unrestored original, '72 manufacture date Z1, ser# 004xx sell for $25,000.00+. It's being exported to Japan :( Time for us to call Hagerty & up our coverage...

What was everyone’s take-away from the event this year? I see a lot of complaining about the toilet and shower situation on the Facebook page, but it all seems specific to the “snake pit” campground (interesting place to visit, wouldn’t want to live there). I personally didn’t have any issues with anything, and scored a few nice bits from the swap meet.

That dialog must have been fun. B)

The weather was ridiculously beautiful both Friday and Saturday. I also found some good deals on parts, including a very nice tank for the Yamaha, complete with chrome panels, emblems, rubber pads, petcock, and gas cap... for $100. B) It's the wrong color but I can fix that.
