Missed it again
29 Dec 2013 15:01
Just got word that 750 triple i was trying to scrape a little more cash together for is now gone. Couple dollars short cuz the guy who said he would buy my gs750 dropped off the radar. Maybe number five will be my lucky one?
Have no idea why i want one, just wanna ride one at least once, hell only even seen a moving one a single time

Greg if i wasnt confident i had the money on the way for it. ( cut overtime and incentive pay SUCKS) I'd have tipped you off. Good news about things getting shut down is I get to work with you contractors and learn how work really should be done
Hey everyone i know plays them up so much and the little 250 i had was a hoot. (Not to mention seeing what i think was your old blue H2 riding around wanatah doesn't help) That i just have to have one, at least I think so

I grew up on Kawasaki triples. I went from a Honda 160 to a '71 Mach III 500 and lived to tell about it!!!
Totaled 3 of them in '71 learning how to go fast. Thank God for Bell Star Helmets, or I would not be here!!!
Nothing, I repeat Nothing gives you the sense of maximum acceleration like a "72 H2 750 triple does!!!!
Fins ringing, carbs howling, front wheel 4 feet in the air, back tire spinning, frame flexing and that was a stocker.
Now bolt on some 34mm Mikunis, Denco 120HP cylinders, and Denco expansion chambers It was liftoff!!
Now remember this was back in 1973. Since I was low man on the totem pole back then, I got to wash the blood and hunks of flesh off all the crashed H2's at the shop I worked at. We lost customers left and right on the 500's and 750's back then. Only bike that came close to hurting that many customers was the first years of the GSXR1100's!!!
MAKES ME WANT TO PUT MY H2 BACK TOGETHER AGAIN!!!!!

I'll get to this in a year or 2 or 3 or when ever?
Low mile, frame and engine within 2 digits, 1 owner, was sold new locally and I bought it off the original owner!!! Picked it up at the original dealers shop!! The owner insisted that the guy that sold him the bike new should be the one who sells it for him and all he wanted was what he paid for it when he bought it. :woohoo: Yeah, I bought it right and there is more of them out there. They are over rated but they'll still hand you your ass if you're not prepared for the crazy power it can lay out at it's own discretion, even in stock form
Keep trying, there are more of them to be found all though they are getting old and less available, there is a few to be had!!

Les i liked your post better last night when there was no pic
So far the first time i found an h2 i was buying four bikes from a guy 76 kz750 83 virago and 81 xj650 plus he had a 74 h2 when i pulled up with a trailer though the h2 was gone and he knocked the $75 he sold it for off the price.. There was one just outside of town that i hounded the owner on and off for two years over until I rode by again to see the scrap hauler loading it and a few farm implements up to be crushed the owner wouldn't take any offer and the scrap company wouldn't either. And then this one.
Everyone in my network of contacts knows where a cb750 kz750 900 or 1000 is hell i get old yamaha and suzuki thrown at me a lot, but all the H2 finds are few and far between, and way out of my price range (5k for a junk no title locked motor) or gone before i can get ther.
Rant over for now, double time and a half today
happy new year

I've also seen the in the scrap and wouldn't consider any offer, never understood that one. I seem to discover them only days after they are really gone. As for the values, I think they are overpriced too but hey, I don't set the market, I just have to work around it.
Getting $75 back was an insult, the H2 was worth more than the other 3 put together.

Love to hear them spitting out of those expansion chambers.
Grew up riding big bikes that I couldn't touch the ground on with my late brother.
Guy down here had a litle 250 hopped up to the max and was taking money from the bigger bikes running them 1/8 mile.
Great looking bike you have there.

Hey the $75 he gave me back is supposedly what he got for it  I, of course told him I would have easily paid him $400 for it. That was the ONE that ran around town in the seventies, supposedly had some denco goodies to.

$75 out of it, I bet  You had a seller do to you almost the same thing that happened to me last year, drove 3 hours with cash in hand only to show up to be told he sold it to a phone buyer for more money, I offered to match the phone offer, he accepted, then called the phone buyer to see if he would offer more, and he did! A 79 MK2 went from $800 to $2500 in 5 minutes and the guy offered to pay half my gas money to get there! Talk about an ASS! He profited $1700 more than he was asking and only offered me 40 bucks for my trouble! Name, number and address will not soon be forgotten, of the seller or buyer!
