Wow! Another SoCal ride!
01 Nov 2008 09:44
OK guys, it's come to my attention that it's time for another ride. Why have a once a year ride when we can ride year round and we are now into our riding "season" (sorry Sandy!
) How about a ride down in my neck of the woods? Below is the map of the last ride here. Of course this can be modified as need be. We have Ortega, Palomar montain, Idyllwild, Julian, etc. Kinda looking at the weekend of the 15/16th (2 weeks) What do you guys think?

1980 KZ650F1, Bought new out the door for $2,162.98!

Any of those routes/destinations sound good to me!
Since it's so close to him compared to our other rides, maybe we can coax dutchz into this ride?
Anyone else up for this?

No coaxing would be involved... but I still have my motor out of the bike. The head's actually on its way to PA and the bottom end/cyl at the local machine shop so it'll have to be for next time... At the rate you guys are planning rides right now it can't be too hard to make one, right

I'm in.
I'll send a PM to Baldy110 to see if he wants to ride down.
I don't care too much which route you pick, but I'd prefer to stay off the freeways as much as possible.

I'm with ya on that one Tim. I don't mind a little freeway but find them boring and a little scary. I feel better with a group than by myself. You guys are gonna do a fair but of freeway to get to this area. Using the map we can eliminate as much freeway as possible. If we head down towards Julian area it would involve about 25mi of freeway starting from Lake Elsinore. Ortaga was under construction for a while, how do we find if it's done? We could meet in Capistrano, ride the Ortega to Look out, then maybe head up to Idywille? (don't know how to spell it) We'll figure it out...
