Well guys it looks like it's gonna be pushing 90 on Sunday. Will make for a great early morning ride to Corona but hot later on. How about a mountain ride over to Idylwilde? We could ride up one side and down the other. Palomar Mountain is great but requires a 45 min ride down the 15 freeway. We could run what ever route you guys like.

Ok, here's my 2 cents, which in this economy means, I owe you money. Yes, it's going to be hot. I do prefer colder weather, but for the sake of the guys in Wisconsin, let's keep our bitching to a minimum.
I'm achin to get out and ride. I'm ok with the freeway, I know some are not. I prefer rolling hills to mountains, but I'm cool with bringin up the rear too, so mountains I'll do. The bottom line for me, is longer. I just want to get out, and stay out. I'm down for breakfast in Corona, or, to totally screw things up, how about lunch in Julian! haHA!!! Just a few more thoughts for you guys to consider. When it comes down to it, somebody pull out of the parking lot, and I'll drop in behind. Man I'm looking forward to this.

I'll know for sure by Saturday and post up then, but right now it looks like I'm not going to be able to make this ride after all.
I won't bore you all with the details, but lets just say I'm pretty bummed out right now. :S
If I can't make the ride, someone needs to take a LOT of pics! And by all means, have fun and be safe.

I know it's going to be in the 40s when I leave Palmdale at 7:00am, so I'm wearing leather. I don't want to carry two jackets, so I'll have to sweat a little during the ride. I'm fine with freeway riding, it's just that it's all freeway for Grant and me to get to(and from) Corona, so two-lane riding is a nice change.
Bluemeanie, I haven't talked to Grant yet, but if he's still in, we'll be at the Denny's that you suggested at 9:00!

Sounds good Tim, we have a few days to finalize the route. We can follow the same route you guys took or we can modify as needed. Did you guys head to Julian first and end up at Ortega or visa versa? Ortega is great in the am with all the bikes showing up. We can take any route that sounds good to you guys. I have to be at work by 3 but no problem.
