What will they think of next?

I just saw this link on Craig's list
indianapolis.craigslist.org/mcy/612712913.html
Looks like you can now buy a "time share" for a Harley. Just what the world needs, more putzes with more money than brains riding around on Harleys.

Wow,
Perfect for those with all the attitude, but not the full dedication of ownership.
Fortunately there will be some cool people timesharing them as well.

2008 Road King - Fractional Ownership - $200
Here's your chance actually own a new Road King. VTS is a fractional ownership provider of many types of luxury, sport, and leisure vehicles. We are currently offering 1/5th ownership in a new 2008 HD Road King.
Your monthly fee includes storage, maintence, and cleaning of your bike. Owners use a priority booking system to reserve usage of their bike. The term of payment is 36 months after which the bike and be upgraded or sold based on owner voting. This is an INVESTMENT NOT A RENTAL. There are many other benefits to our ownership program. For details or more information, respond back to this email. Riding season is around the corner.
VTS inc.
"Twice the fun, half the price."
Hmmmmm ...
$200 for 1/5 ownership
5 x 200 = 1,000 price for new HD  .
Getting twice the fun for a mere $200.
Be still my heart!
Then there's this bridge in London . . .

Read it again!
$200 A MONTH FOR 36 MONTHS!
$200 x 5 people = $1,000
$1,000 x 36 = $36,000
WTF?!?!!?

but it doesn't seem to include insurance. So, what happens if 2 out of 5 "ownership sharers" ride like some of those guys on You-Tube?    :ohmy:Your monthly fee includes storage, maintenance, and cleaning of your bike.

I was curious to get everyone’s take on this. In my mind this is a recipe for disaster at least from a consumer’s standpoint, I’m sure the jokers that are setting up this deal are laughing all the way to the bank. In my opinion you have to be a poser big time to sign up for a deal like this. There are only maybe 150 potential good days in a riding season (give or take) how the heck do you try to schedule when you want to ride when 4 other guys are going to want to be out riding the same bike at the same time you are? There are only so many nice days, a limited amount of weekends, and most people only get so many days off work.
Then you have the problem of someone else in the group gets unhappy with the way you are riding the bike or how you are treating it while it is in your hands. Not to sound like I’m picking on him, but let’s say there is someone in the group like RonKZ650 if you took the bike out and put a scratch in the paint he would go postal. Or worse yet you take it out and get involved in a significant wreck, are the other 4 in the group supposed to patiently wait while the bike is in the shop being repaired?
Sharing a bike just seems like a really bad idea. Now if someone could come up with a similar plan for a woman……..he might just get rich. All the benefits but you only have them around 20% of the time….. a fresh new model every three years …… someone else that is responsible for storage and maintenance….. hmmm where do I signup?
If my wife were ever to read this post my life wouldn’t be worth squat.:S :S :S
