Merry Christmas and Season's Greetings to all!

It's been a year since I last wrote here on the same occasion. However time runs in a different way once you are at war. In a few months it will be three years since I volunteered for the army and left my workshop and home. Since then I have had no vacations and therefore I haven't seen my family.  Though I managed to visit my mother for a few days and to meet my brother (who is also fighting for freedom of our country) for a couple of hours when his unit was not far from my location.  Also fingers on both hands are more than enough to count times when I visited my dusty apartment and (a bit of wonder) less dusty workshop. Engine for my KZ650 is still sitting on the table under the covers, as shiny as the day I assembled it. Every return is a bit of a shock for me. This very summer when I was about to visit my mother I changed oil in my Zephyr and rode it just to find out that my body forgot how to ride the bike. I was used to riding a bike just like I breathe: effortlessly and without any kid of thought how to do it. Well, for the first time in my life I felt like a monkey clinging to a tree branch in a storm...  And even as I am still far from motorcycles I hope one day all that I managed to lose will return to me.

Previous year I found how to put my talents for a war effort in the best way.  So I  have a rank of corporal and I am a leader of one separate section of specialists. In my 43 years I have not much interest in military ranks, but maybe later I will get myself sergeant rank. However I definitely am not interested in being an officer.  I am more interested in what I managed to organize on my own. In fact It's funny in a way, as I am running a workshop again. The difference is I am working not on conversion kits for  motorcycles and custom bikes but on conversion kits for ammunition and custom munitions for drones. But the core is the same: me, having ideas and putting them into life. Or rather into death for russian invaders. The bright side, as I already mentioned, is that it's the best way of my application to war matters. The downside - I am always busy and never have enough time. For example it took me a year to write here again. It's like this: you are tired to the bone and thinking: OK, I will write tomorrow. But tomorrow doesn't bring any less work, as well as the day after it and another one, and so on and so forth. And so pass days, weeks, months.

I was thinking about you just recently and hoping we might get an update. I'm glad you're still alive and fighting. I wish it would be over soon.
