wasn't sure if that was your idea or an existing mount.
Ive seen lots of them cut off over the years,it was the in thing back in the 70s-80s ;)
If you can find a wrecked 77-78 A series frame to get a brake pedal bracket from you can remove the rest of that tube. :)

You lost me. Yeah, the frame was hacked in the late 70's or early 80's. I have had the bike for 38 years. I assume you are joking about cutting the main frame out. Geesh.

No Im talking about the little stub that's left of the original bracket that your brake pedal mounts to.
The 77-78 A series bikes used a stamped foot peg bracket that was was higher up the frame, they used a small bracket welded to bottem cross tube to mount brake pedal to since they didn't have the bracket like all the other 900/1000 bikes used up to 1980,the z1r was different of course.

kzz1king wrote: Well I scored a Kerker on fleabay. It is solid but banged up a bit in the usual places. I need to try any straighten it up a bit in the collector area. It was chrome that has been repainted.I will sand it down and redo it. I figured I saved about $550 over a new one so cant complain. I really like my old V&H pipe but had a rotted out Kerker once that sounded pretty sweet so I will give it a try this summer.

Ive never gotten around to trying it ,but I wonder if you couldn't use a stud gun to weld some pins on there .
Them use a torch to warm the pipe up just a little while using a slide hammer to pull on the pins a little at a time. ;)

If I had seen mine in person Kawaholic I would not have bothered. I have about $160 into it which isnt to bad. I fIlled and froze it a few times and hired a guy to braze up cracks that resulted from the freezing. Then I still have a high acquaintance pipe due to the paint. Oh well, it is done with now.
