Here is

Attachment DSCN1165.JPG not found

my 74 that I have had since 76. It has seen many tranformations over the years. How I would love to have some good pics of it in its original yellow and green with those sweet sounding stock pipes. I am going to remove the windshield and go with a painted LTD fender. Will replace the walmart trailer taillight with a cateye or some other unit. After new black paint I am going to reinstall the tank and sidecover badges. The swingarm is stretched 2.5 to 3 inchs. Might install some sportster shocks for a mellower ride. Engine is a 1075, mild cams, dyna ign and 29's.

The piece with the tail is something I made to fill a gap from the seat I am using. The seat is about a 1/2 inch short. Want to get something lower and sleaker. Didnt want to mess with the tail permanantly so will try this.

Geting some of the layers off. What a pain. Peeled off most of the paint from the plastic. It did not seem to bite in. The tough part is sanding the harder paint that is left with out removing the softer out lieing plastic.

Going to replace the chrome front fender with a painted LTD fender. Replacing mirrors with barends and ditching the Memphis shades. Going to repaint header tubes touch up frame paint as well.

Have some sportster shocks on the way. Hopefully a little more compliant than these S&S shocks.

Dug up some old pics of it and my 75 from back in the day. I wish I had taken pics then. It is fun to see all the old configurations.
This one is back when it was a 900 motor and before the crappy paint job got crappy!

This is from the early 80's I think. I had an Alphabet crossover 4/2 exhaust. I lost one of the cans somewhere along ways from home so I shortened the pipes up. Wish I still had them.

My poor old 75 back when I tried to Harleyize it :cheer:

Thanks Leon. I did build something similar but not on the same level of craftsmanship. I need to shorten it a bit with the new light as it sticks past about a 1/2 inch. Thanks

Got the badges painted and they turned out pretty good (Top one). I had ordered some from Fleabay for 10 shipped. Stick on, funny looking (second one).I only painted the inside of one set to see how it will look on black paint (bottom one)

Attachment DSCN1306.JPG not found

Installed the Sporty shocks, hopefully a bit softer ride.

Attachment DSCN1304.JPG not found

Did a little polishing on some things and a little touch up painting. I wished I had not painted the motor years back.

Paint is done, need to pick up. I went with black again so not a big change. Waiting on new sidecover badges. Under 11 from Z1. Mine are good but for that price I went with new.Tank seal and some other bits on the way. Billet flanges from one of the members. Bidding on a seat but it is going to go higher than plan to spend I think.
