Z Fighter in progress

I purchased this 1977 KZ1000A1 last year for $300 it was a technical runner but had not been licensed since 1988 a shame really.
I have done quite a bit to it maintenance wise. all new bearings in headset, wheels, swingarm. new brakes front and back. Some electrical wiring corrections. New battery. Pod filters(what a nightmare), Kerker 4 into 1 with custom baffle and wraps, had the seat reapolestered, and painted the tank and panels.

This was last summer I thought it would be cool to have the whole frame light up like a reflector. A friend of mine has this stuff called Safety Bright it works really well with the camera flash but once I got it on the road I found that the average car's headlights were not bright enough to make it work. Issue number 2 is that it comes off to easy it would have been better it I would have it powder coated on. I refuse to strip it down this summer. That is on the winter list for this year.

While riding down freeway last year my carbs started to fall out of the boots. That's when I knew I had to do something about it. It makes sense IMHO since there is no longer an airbox supporting the other end. Does anyone know if here is an aftermarket one?

Here are the new piggyback shocks from Ebay. Ran into two issues. No nitrogen in them when they got to me. And the seller stated that there was an adapter to make the 13.8", here was an adapter but I don't know what fantasy land you would have to be in to get them to work so I made some that work for now. My original plan was to just make a threaded coupler but the thread that was used is 16X1.25 which is impossible to find.
