Thanks guys... Saying im pretty stoked is an understatement!! I obviously have a WAYS to go but kinda nice to get a taste.. lol

Tossing around a couple options to compensate for the height loss, but im open for suggestions. I plan on lowering the rear a bit, so that will help a bit, so maybe some upper tree work to get it a little closer.

I didn't plan on using the clip-ons but they looks pretty damn good on there.. lol But I don't think my back would last long in that position.... but hell who knows.. :)

OOO don't worry... it will slow down.. This is the easy stuff. The mount came off a 91. I kinda figured the same thing on the mount... maybe economics.. I checked on your swing arms as well... will post that on your thread for you.

Ok, did a little work on the bike today. Started working on the top mount and got it mocked up. I wont make it permanent till I get the swingarm pivot bushings done this week. But I think this will be the permanent config. I will box it in as well for extra support.

Also mocked up my sets. I took OMR's lead on this one and did something similar. I used T-Nuts for the mount and SS sleeves for the shank. SS Button head screws to finish it up. Just tacked on for now, until im sure.. :)

Couple of pics..

Test, this look a little better?

This should be pretty close to the final stance.

I wish I did it that often...I only cleaned it last week because I was done with the re-wire and about to start painting. LOL! I will clean it up after painting and move stuff around so I have room to finally start tearing down my '66 A1.

Those are some sturdy looking rear sets! The build is really coming along nicely. I look forward to seeing your vision become a reality.

Are those 8mm bolts holding your rear-sets on? If so, then you may find that they are not sturdy enough. I wound up with M10 bolts on mine. Of course I'm a big boy, so I can put some parts to the test. Put your feet on the outside of those pegs and bounce up and down a few times. If they flex or break off, then you know you need bigger fasteners.

Test.. They are actually 5/16 and was thinking the same thing. I will give them the once over once i get them all welded on and make them permanent, just tacked on for now. If need be I will step up to 3/8's. Just didn't want the collars to be to bulking if they didn't need to be. We shall see...

On the money withe sets.. 06 ZX10R...
