no i removed my factory studa so i wont get to use Les' until i redo her this winter



Most of you know I made it to terrehaute and back with a minor set back the bracket i had
made to mount my collector didnt like the vibration and broke losing my collector. nearly
being run over by the car I had just passed. my girl had picked up the van and was following
me but by the time she made it to the next exit and made it back someone had stopped and
picked it up

KZ10006 (Brian) came through like a champ he split up a complete pipe and sold me a
collector

I prefer the VHT header paint but as I live in a rural area its not available the closest
small town auto parts store has a few cans of paint and it's plasticoat I used it the
first time I painted my header my only complaint is it takes 2 hours at 400 in the oven
and stinks to hight heaven or an hour at 600 which my oven doesnt get that hot. it didn't
adhere that well (not as well as the VHT has)

I spent the morning painting a really ragged Kirker off the parts bike I bought its so
pitted and rough had a 4 inch tear on the underside I spent an hour chasing the weld
to get it semi sealed upstill have to build a bracket Z(different type) for my collector
brian sent me.


pretty rough but easier than pulling the header and mounting the kirker

instead of bending up a bracket i went staight down and
used a bushing to bridge the gap

just realized my camera did video lol

havent been able to do much lately dr appoinments and what not.
I may go ahead with my winter tear down and finish up the things I started already

I did buy a fork cover to cover the ugly brake splitter



gonna take some cosmetics and fabricating but i think it will look fine
(rather have a custom splitter) but thats a little outta my league

going to town tomorrow to bumb a polishing wheel I am thinking this will be a
decent combination will paint the center black or paint match the green

spent a total of 5 minutes on my brothers polishing wheel friday but didnt get to
actually get busy I believe the triple tree will be freakin beautiful with some
time spentr on it

I'm a little chick to leave my stuff with him since my trailer walked off and noone
did anything about it

what do you guys think should I use the cover or just the tree with the ugly splitter
I will spray chrome the splitter but dont expect a good result with all the brake fluid



the contour fits the tree pretty good ery little contouing needed to look machined
to fit exactly.



I am thinking of making a mould and tring to make a couple out of fiberglas
and smooth the center so I can put a different graphic or KZ or Kryptonite or whatever

Nice pish job. Are you using a commercial polisher? I have a lot of polishing to do this winter.

My brother has one a grinder with long arms lol sinilar to the harboe freight polishers

I got to spend like 10 minutes on it when he ran to the store he is pretty stingy
with his stuff reminds me of when we were kids he is my older brother and I still dont know anything lol Figured I would go up to his place today while he is at work lol

a bit of advice is a deburring wheel and real rouge not sure where he gets his rouge but his brown is as big as your fist and the white is at leat 3" squar. he also uses a final blue (I think he got at harbpr freight if you pur mothers on it after using the blue it dulls it

i think the kawi plate looks good in the photo but cant tell for sure without a few dif views.
if u r not happy with it, maybe u could mount the splitter underneath the bottom tree??

Im gonna get it all mocked up and see if I like it as much then if I had more fab tools
(and Money) i would make my own version

got roped into doing a headliner in a quad cab truck so I wont get to do any polishing today
but I need the money so maybe next week
