I polished mine. The hardest part is getting the old coating off. An industrial buffer would have made it much easier.

The USD forks are anodized dont think I can strip the anodizing off (never tried) but my understanding of anodizing is they use eltrolosis to open the poors of the aluminum then use dye to color it

but I have been wrong more than once

Easy off oven cleaner will remove the anodizing, work slowly, it will etch the aluminum if you leave it on too long. ;)

Just a few words about VHT Roll Bar Paint I painted my forks with it Cleaned the forks lighty prepped the fork painted the forks dried them in the oven let them sit for several weeks

took allot to scratch them but I did so I decided to repaint them or actually had a moment of craziness and was gonna paint them to match the bike but thats another story

any way removing the paint was almost too easy the initial scratch I made any paint would've scratched but I mean I had them stripped within an hour with 320 grit and my thunb nail.

I am going to use it again but have to wonder if thats a smart idea

I think u know the answer to that question. How do u like wasting your time. lol

i used the Duplicolor engine enamle. its a semi gloss black. its not bad. i didnt like the roll bar paint. it seemed to want to run too easily. the Duplicolor sprays nice. as for durability,

i think it good considering its a spray can. :P

Spray Chrome with green tint in clearcoat?

+1 on the easy off
I've always put it on then got it up to 200 or so in the oven, I forget the specific temp, I will edit when I get to my notes. Works great though.
Mine:
04 Honda rebel 250(wifes)
04 GSXR 750(bolt on galore)
98 CBR 600F3(filter, pipe, adjustable cam sprokets, dyno tune)
76 KZ900A (LTD gauge pods, crash bars, LTD(style)pipes, dyna coils and ignition, headwork and mild port cleanup by cavanaugh racing, K&N filter pods, heck I dunno.
