Nah not quite. Still haven't got the coils hooked up yet. Will probably get it started in a couple of weeks, gonna order exhaust gaskets and new air filters before we try and start it.

I hate my life sometimes...I bolted the coils on while ago and I think I overtightned it. :( the post are bent downwards slightly but it's enough that i'm freaking over it.

the old coils have spacers that a couple ten mm wrenches will free up and they can then go on the new coils...the coils ends then will straighten out when tightened with the spacers...silver parts in this pic

Sorry if I missed it, but I didn't see what coils that you ordered. I got the Dyna coils for my bike, and even after I transferred the hardware from the old coils, they still had the same problem. I had to add one additional washer to the stack and that solved the problem. I wouldn't want the plastic cover of the coil bearing down on the steel frame. That would cause a problem eventually. This is only an issue with the Dyna b/c they are larger in diameter than the stockers. Good luck.

got the coils straightened out as good as I could. Got my package from Z1E in today: 4 pod filters, 4 exhaust washers, and allen head bolts for the exhaust boots. Hopefully it should be running this weekend.

Got the bike running the other day. Carbs are rejetted, the new exhaust put on, and all cylinders are firing. I am gonna have to make a bracket for the exhaust because they be too long, but they look good.
