i'm kinda putting the cart before the horse but I have an idea on a paint idea for the tank. As you all know my bike had a "heating" problem...anyhoo, I'm thinking either black tank with a gold and orange phoenix airbrushed on the top or a white tank with the same phoenix so it'll be like a "phoenix rising form the ashes"

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationget a soft toilet brush (keeps the knuckles from getting too close) hit it with some foaming de greaser let sit 20 mins...hit it again and repeat waitng 20 mins...then a big bucket of HOT soapy dawn dish soap...as hot as you can stand it... and scrub the engine and rolling bike for while...then hit it again with de greaser and spray it off...next day its much nicer to work on
you can use the kick starter for a handle to move it around with two people pretty good too....
hey on the harness i also saw this guys stuff....i think i bought a MKII part from him this yr...
if you go to his items for sale and type kz1000 he says it is for KZ1000A but the stuff looks like MKII...little stuff like the fork legs being gloss black make me think most items come from a 1980 A-4 MKII...with low miles
here is a link to his harness...he says 75 free ship...conatact him and offer 60 free ship...he has had it all listed for a while i believe with no takers...

I looked thru some of his info and says that everything he sells is at it's lowest price. kinda sucks because that is a bit high.

Go ahead and replace those plain steering neck bearings with tapered roller bearings. You'll be glad that you did. www.z1enterprises.com/detail.aspx?ID=216

Those are races and can be taped out using a hammer and a piece of bar stock. Leave them in until you get done sand blasting and painting, will help not having to cleanup paint over spray.
Also order the All Balls tapered steering head bearings from Z1. They come with dust cover seals that actually fit, those other ones dont.
