I believe there is a satin black. The only place that you can buy it is from the manufacturor, which is KG Industries. I would not bother to use it on the cases but only on the covers, cylinder and head. Extreme care must be taken for a perfectly clean surface for it to edhere correctly.

Well guys, Santa was nice to me and got me a REAL Xenon headlight conversion kit. WOW, a 100 Watts of light from 35 Watts of juice. I have also finally finished my new instrument cluster, retrofitting ALL light with LEDs. The entire cluster now only draws 25 Mili-Amps. I will post a picture tomorrow. I will also use LED bulbs on all of my turn signals and tail light.

I plan on becoming a dealer for these motorcycle kits and charge $125 for them + $7 postage. There are a bunch of different wave length ranges but I will carry only the 5000Kelvin and 6000Kelvin units. The Cops have a habit of stopping cars and bikes which have lights too blue.

Here are some pictures of the new custom instrument cluster. The entire unit is painted in Polane Flat black Texture and is built out of ABS plastic and E-Poxy. You will notice the LED indicator Lights. With the exception of the turn signals they are all clear until illuminated. Red for oil, Blue for High-beam, Green for neutral, Yellow for Headlight On.

This is what the instrument illumination with LEDs looks like. Unfortunately, the picture dose not do it justice. The power consumtion is 20mA unlike the oryginal light bulbs of 950mA. It may not look like it in the picture but the instruments are much brighter than the stock Bulbs.

ecided on another easy mod to the bike. I plan on replacing the rear turn signals with a set of dual element front signals, to give me an extra set of running lights and extra visibility from the back. a new pair can be had for about $30 and the wiring mod is real easy. Just splicing into the tail light wire, will give me the third connection needed. Now that I will have all the extra Amps I want by using LEDs where ever possible. This is a mod which can be made on any bike.

Thank you for really good information about Gun Kote.
Without you written about it, I think it would be hard for me to find out about it.

I've received 4 cans today from KG, gloss black, titanium, silver and one K-Phos.
I have looked everywhere for a good paint/coat treatment, and this seems right too me.

A have a few questions, if you don't mind?

Will it still be grip enough for the coat to hang if I use metal brush bench grinder for some parts?
Is it that essential to sandblast?

And not to glass bead is because of less grip, to smooth?

Should I use oil less air compressor?, I don't know, but I reckon so?. Hmm.

By the way, really good service at KG, it took 8 days from I've ordered to I've got the stuff I the post.
They also wrote some Norwegian in the epost to me, haha.

Cheers:)
