Greetings all. Does anyone have a technique for putting a flat decal on a multi-curved rear fender liner without getting wrinkles in it? Thanks in advance!

Spray the surface with a mild solution of dish soap and water in a mist, lay the decal on the work from the middle out with a hard rubber blade to remove bubbles and water

Is it a decal or a sticker? If it is a decal, then Wookie's suggestion would be how I would go about it. If it is a sticker I do not think spraying soap/water would be the way to go.. Instead you would want it clean and dry before laying down the sticker.

If its a vinyl sticker, clean and dry the surface and get sticker warm using a hairdryer, work from the center outwards using a rubber pad and pressure to stop creases. You may need to reheat it to keep it maleable.

^^^ That exactly. ^^^
There's not any significant thermal mass to a thin label; it'll cool almost instantly when it touches the cooler inner fender.  It helps to keep the inner fender very warm while applying the label to help keep the label pliable.  Take your time.  Enlist a helper to  warm the inner fender from underneath and keep it comfortably very warm to the touch, not hot, while applying the label.  A hair dryer is best to limit heat input.   A heat gun on low can be used carefully & sparingly from some distance.

The purpose of the soapy water "mist" is that if necc it allows you to lift the decal again (until it's dried out) without stretching or deforming it (may not work with all adhesive types used on these stickers/decals)
