Well I cannot seem to find a paint code and was wondering if someone out there would happen to know or a modern day equivalent.

Dana doesn't share paint code formulas, but may be a source to consider for getting the work done.

You could try Ralph at Paintworkz. He is the authority on Z1 paint.

vintagemotorcyclepaint on EB has a few colors, but I don't know if either of the reds shown in his listings would be correct.
One is for a 1000 Ltd & the other for a 900 Ltd. In the description he mention Dana WFO.
I don't know anything about the seller or if he does special orders.

There are no codes from Kawaski to get paint mixed from. I sell a match for the 78 KZ1000 green but not the red. The red used a flesh / pink solid base coat, a silver flake mid coat, and a candy red top coat.

Is the luminous green intended to be multistage? I've seen another seller from Europe that sells most as multistage, but sells the luminous green as single stage.

The original factory 78 1000 green is a tri coat candy color also. It uses a metallic champagne base coat and a candy green top coat.....so a single stage would not be a very good match.
