Hey guys, I know I'm new here and I normally prefer to, where possible, provide information rather than constantly seek it out. But, I do have a favor to ask...

I wonder if folks would mind making a quick measurement of your various KZ tail sections for me? I'm trying to find one that might, (might) find between the fat frame rails of the Voyager I have stripped down. I originally thought I might go with a short chrome Fender back there, but have decided to try and do a KZ style rear end. I am not a proficient metal worker and so prefer not cut and narrow the frame. That opens up another can of worms in what was supposed to be a very quick, inexpensive modification.

At this point, I'm not picky, but I'm partial to the 1000 style ducktail. Problem is that there are 11 inches between the outer frame rail bosses on this Voyager and 8 and 1/4 inches between the inner bosses. I might be able to fit a tail either inside or outside the frame, but need to know how much difference there is between the Voyager's girth and the typical KZ tail section. I don't even know if I'm in the ballpark.

I've tried to find these widths online, but haven't had much luck. Anybody?

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationI bought a replica of a 900 duckbill off ebay.

It turned out to be too narrow for my CSR1000 frame but being fiberglass,I was able to chop it down the middle and widen it to fit;

Thanks for all the input. I sure expected more response than essentially none. Tough crowd. Maybe all the Kawasakis are tucked away under their covers for winter...

73 to 75 tail is 10.5" wide by front bolts.
The tail is over the frame rails, not inside.

Bang!

Exactly what I was looking for! Thank you 73!

I knew it was close, but didn't have the ability to make measurements on a real specimen. I can make that work without significant hacking.
