the fact of the matter is once you start scrutinizing these old tanks you will find many of them are not symmetrical. My kz750 twin tank had at least a 1/2" difference in height where the tank line was side to side. Furthermore, I have seen more than one KZ with factory stripes and that are not perfect either, So I think you did pretty damn good.
