If I painted the Lower Forks, Should I do them in the color of the bike tins, or should I just do them Black so if i change the color some day they too wont need painting again?

What have you guys done, Im not buffing them out though, too much shine isnt my bag.

I don't have a picture handy right now, but I painted mine the same satin black that I used on my frame. It really looks good.

Its done, waiting awhile before remounting the wheel and Brakes.
I just used gloss Black to match the brakes, need to bleed them witout screwing up the paint, so I have to dig out me long bleeder lines.

Its almost rideable too!:woohoo:

The forks really take a beating from the road. No repaint will last long. (Surprise hearing that from me):-)
A much better thing to do would be get them powdercoated. I suppose powder coating is available in different colors, never looked. My 1979 KZ1000 with the factory black forks was sandblasted really bad after a lot of miles, and that black "is" powder coat or similar. It's real hard and still chipped off eventually.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

I used DupliColor "Aluminum Cast Coat with Ceramic" on mine. That stuff seems to take a beating rather well.
Just a thought......
