I'm going to go to a dual disc setup on my 76 KZ 900 . Can someone give me an idea of what KZ LTD calipers I will need for this conversion. I want to mount them on the back of the rotor, to the rear of the forks towards the bike. I hope that makes sense. I also want them to face the right direction so that's why I'm looking for LTD calipers. Which years will look the most correct, and be the most adaptable?

Thanks

you can use the left side caliper from 78 kz1000 to match up with your 900 caliper im pretty sure, then just spin forks around.;)

If you "just spin the forks around", the speedometer driver will be on the wrong side and turn backwards! bwhahaha

If you want to add dual disks and use KZ900 STUFF, then the calipers will be on the ugly front side. It is easier to buy the front end off a little later KZ1000 where they mounted them to the rear from the factory. Get the forks w/fork lowers, the matching speedo drive, the calipers and the MASTER cylinder with splitter. The master cylinder is 5/8" (bigger than a single) and is needed to make fluid pressure the proper amount. Find someone parting out a dual disk KZ1000 and buy the whole front end... far easier than trying to mix/match stuff. You also have to keep in mind that the rotors will need to be correct for the calipers and mounts so get those too...
