TOPIC:

Recently I picked up a 1981 KZ1100A1 basket case. By that I mean a partially disassembled bike and a few baskets of parts. I've gone thru the baskets and I am missing the entire front brake system.

What I would like to know is what are my options. Do any of the calipers from other KZ1100's or KZ1000's fit. There are several on ebay, but none are the correct one for the KZ1100A1. I don't want to buy a caliper and find it does not fit. I have been looking at the parts diagrams on buykawasaki.com to get the part numbers. The numbers are different for ever other KZ that I have checked. The question is which ones will fit on my forks.

I'd rather fix this bike up, but without front brakes I'll have to part it out.

The front calipers issue is an easy one to deal with, it's fairly simple to bolt on almost any calipers by making an adapter plate out of aluminum. There is one member here that has six piston front calipers on a KZ

If you want some that are a straight bolt on, maybe someone with the parts software will post an answer as to what interchanges.

I have a front end off a 82 KZ1100 brakes rotors calipers the hole front end.
