I bought a used KZ1000 with a brand new set on the bike. They're the right size, just wonder if they're any good.

thanks

I have them on my 650. I had a set of the older style ribbed treads, they were fine. Last set I bought were the Max. They are a metric, rotational with the newer tread pattern. It was like going from night into day as far a handling. I'm very happy with them. At my age though I don't do any squid stuff. Just normal riding. Do at least half of my travels on Rt. 95 at about 75 though, I have no complaints at all.

Thanks guys, this bike will be a cruiser type with a little bit of blasting around. When I worked as a mechanic in the late 70's we used to call them Chicken Sh!t tires because they were the cheapest and smoked up the best for the street playboys. They were terrible then.

The ones I have now look really nice, like they're making good tires now. That's why I wanted to get some opinions on them as I dont want to replace them if I don't need to.

Thanks

My 650B that I am working on has a "new" (well it obviously has very few miles on it, but it has been on a while, no cracking at least) C180-03 on the front. They don't show a matching rear, but this TM40641 looks like a good match. I wonder if they would do better on gravel than the Continental Conti Blitz pair on my SR.

You only have a couple of square inches of contact with the road - cheap isn't the wisest way to go.
