Major modifications, no, a simple bearing swap will work. Although I don't understand why you would want to do that, the fork tubes on both are 36mm, so if you want the 81 750 fork tubes, just slide the forks into the 77 triple clamps. I know the 81 KZ750E has 36mm, I'm not certain about the KZ750H LTD, but it has leading axle forks anyway.

depends... are you wanting swap the top, bottom(with the stem) or the whole thing... the more info in ur post the more help you are likely to get in return.

For he ones that don't already know this:)

There was no 1981 model KZ750 twin, so the 81 KZ750 he is talking about must be a four, and the KZ750 four first started as a 1980 model, so the 77 KZ750 must be referring to a 750 twin :D

That is unless the 81 KZ750 is actually a 1982 KZ750 with a manufactered date of 1981, in which case it could be a twin :)

Everyone thoroughly confused now?

More info would be a plus :(

The reason for the swap is my triple tree has quite a bit of heavy rust on it and I was thinking if I could get a cheap replacement I'd just swap it out rather than trying to revive mine.
The closest cheap replacement I've been able to find thus far was from a 1981 750.

and yes I'm assuming the 81 is a four, and mine is a twin.

A simple ad in the classifieds would work, because then I would have e-mailed you and mentioned that I have a 77 upper and lower somewhere in the garage. :D

Personal ethics prevent me from making a profit on anything I sell here, and I have nothing in it, so it's free if you pick it up. If I have to ship it then you have to reimburse my expenses.
