I have been trying to find replacement gromets without going to the KZ dealer to pay their ridiculous prices.

So far I have tried home depot and lows, but I have had no success. None of them seem to have the OD that I need.

I know some of you have replaced them, but where did you find the replacements? I think I will go down the route of drilling a hole in the top so I don't lose them any more for the time being.

If you have a pretty good hardware store in your area, check there. I found some grommets in those yellow tray boxes that hardware stores have....they are a good fit in the frame, and a very tight fit on the side cover. Mine haven't blown off yet:whistle:

Unless you are lazy and rich ;) like me I just pay the 3 bucks a piece and laugh knowing I bought all they had. And then I checked Z1 Ent. like mentioned above and cried :pinch: when I saw how cheap they had them for.

Sure it looks OK now, but wait until I really make it pretty, with some chrome and paint and some new tires and grips and the wiring. Don't forget the gearing, and the LED's and, and, and....

redline cycle also sells them i think. They also have these really cool allen head bolt kids to attach the side covers so they don't blow off in the wind.
