Compatible Forks for 1981 KZ550 LTD

So I just crashed my bike (81 KZ550 LTD), and now I need front forks. I'm looking around for parts bikes that I can swap the forks over but options are limited around me. Wondering what models I can borrow from (i.e. would a kz750 model have the same forks, does it have to be an LTD, what years are compatible etc.).

Any info would be much appreciated so I can get back on the road.
 

kawasaki.com and partzilla have diagrams. for comparing part numbers. simplest thing is to get 550C Ltd forks. could be some on ebaayy. next choice would be 550A, 550 Ltd-shaft or spectre forks. the 550 is smaller than a 650 or 750-4. so those forks may be too long and the steering heads vary. even between Ltd and standard models. ps: check the frame. could be bent or worse. cracked.

Appreciate it, checked everything over again earlier today and the frame is still straight and in tact miraculously. Not sure how the bike landed, but must have gotten lucky cause its just the forks, handlebars, and back seat hoop bar thingy that are bent. I'll be mulling over ebay listings.
