I inherited a bike. KZ650 77 B1. I dont have the manual.

May I ask, what is the easiest way to take off the center stand? I hate it.

You will hate NOT having it the first time you service the chain, or change the rear tire, have a rear flat, or service the rear brake.

If you must, remove the spring, remove the bolt, remove the stand.

Kawasaki never put a center stand on the ZRX. Now and then when I am on the road, I fling a curse or two at the company. For home maintenance, I bought an Abba stand. It is one of my favorite tools. My KZ is loosing its center stand because of its aftermarket exhaust and other mods. Abba did not list a kit for the KZ, but I sent them the measurements of the swingarm bolt head and nut, and they made a kit so that I can use the Abba on the KZ.  I also bought the optional bit that allows me to raise the front at the same time.
If you are going to ditch the center stand, I recommend considering the Abba option.

The center stand for my Z1 became a shop tool for maintenance many years ago.

kawasaki.com and partzilla have diagrams. the Kawasaki service manual may not have any info on the stands. there's a 77 B1 manual floating around the internet, possibly here on kzr in the filebase. the kz650.info site forum doesn't work but there's still some info, such as wiring diagrams and maybe a manual.

Me and my cousin took it off today in 15 min with no real manual. . Pretty easy!
