I would like to change the stock bars on my 77 750 twin. I'm looking for something lower but at about the same pullback i think. I'll be swapping my mirrors out also a little shorter stemmed. Anyone out there done this on a 750 twin like mine, and do you have any recommendations for a certain style?

Thank you in advance,

I have put Superbike bars on the last two 750 twins I have had, the latest is my avatar.
But not all Superbike bars will work, measure the distance across the handlebar risers (mounts) and look for one with a center distance at least as long as your measurement, and get the widest bars you can find. On the 78-80 750 twins, anything shorter than 29" wide will put the master cylinder into the tach.

I bought both of mine from some bike shop in PA that also sells on eBay, I have bought 3 or 4 Superbike bars from them at different times. I think I paid ~$25, but they were the only ones I have found that work.

Thank you in advance,

I have the cheap SuperBike bars from AZMotorsports.com on one of my 750s. Got the "Daytona" model for the 400, it's like in between the superbike and stock.

I HATE the stock bars on my second 750. They have to go, even though I want to maintain an appearance of stock on this bike, I can't stand the position. I feel like I'm sitting up begging like a dog. Or getting my nails done or something.
:P

Shorter mirrors and lower bars? you want them to be *totally* useless? Just the lower bars alone pretty much gets you mirrors full of elbows... ;)

EDIT: Wow, just checked that link. Looks like they've been bought out and closed down. I guess the cheap bars didn't sell that well... :(

Sorry if its already been covered. I'm away from the bike and have come across a set of SB bars. I forgot to get teh diameter of the stock bars on the 77 750. Can anyone tell me if the stock bars are 7/8" or 1"?

Thanks in advance,

Adam
